Full Moon Wonder: Harvest Moon Hike & Campfire

Enjoy the tranquility of Long Point Wildlife Refuge at night! Experience the sunset and the full moon rise as we hike around our sandplain grasslands, pitch pine forest, and barrier beach. After hiking, enjoy a fire on the beach with s’mores and popcorn roasting under the moonlight.

Hike is approximately 1.5 miles over soft sand and packed dirt. Tour suitable for ages 6+. Water, headlamp, and bug spray recommended. Bring a swimsuit and towel if you’d like to swim at Long Cove Pond. Swim at your own risk – no lifeguard on duty. Meet at the gatehouse at the Long Point Wildlife Refuge Winter Entrance.
