The Coolidge Corner theatre is taking their infamous outdoor programming out to sea on the Sea Witch! The reportedly haunted USS Salem has long been on their list of screening partners and they're beyond thrilled to present a haunting double-feature of Ghost Ship and The Fog on her stern!
Tickets: $40 per person, or $50 if you'd like to arrive early for a below deck tour of the ship! Advance tickets strongly recommended.
About the USS Salem:
USS Salem (CA-139) is a Des Moines-class heavy cruiser completed for the United States Navy shortly after World War II and commissioned in 1949. The second ship of her class, she was the world’s last heavy cruiser to enter service and the last remaining. On 14 May, 1995 Salem was re-commissioned – this time as a member of the Historic Naval Ships Association. She now serves her country once again with her new mission of teaching people of all generations our nation’s rich history of shipbuilding and naval duty.
The United States Naval Shipbuilding Museum and USS Salem are located at 549 South Street, Pier 3 in Quincy, Massachusetts.
