About Light into the Dungeon: A Jack O’ Lantern Experience at the historic Old New-Gate Prison & Copper Mine

Experience the Old New-Gate Prison & Copper Mine like never before! In the late 18th century, people incarcerated at Old New-Gate Prison were housed in the abandoned copper mine in total darkness. This October, celebrate the Fall season underground with “Light into the Dungeon”  a wholly unique walk-through illuminated by over 300 Jack O’ Lanterns. Explore the 100-yard loop of the underground copper mine lit by a display of professionally carved Jack O' Lanterns.

Hours:
Timed ticketing blocks between 11:00am-6pm and tickets are limited (and sell out early).
Though the sun may be shining outside, the Jack O' Lanterns glow belowground in the dimly-lit depths of the copper mine!
